popular culture through a critical lens
Hey, I'm Maxim Mower, and this is a site devoted to two of the most important things in life. Family and love, I hear you say? Chocolate and ice cream?
Kim and Kanye?
I mean, some of those things are definitely more important than others...butttt I was thinking more along the lines of Music and Philosophy. Sounds deep, I know - but we like to keep it light round here.
From experience I've found that too many 'higher' arts sites come across as aloof and pompous, while too many popular culture sites don't appreciate the arts they're discussing enough, and instead focus on celebrities, gossip, etc.
